Anyone can play and anyone can read the code. The ones who can, help pay for the rest.

  • Open sourceThe platform, One Beam and the engine under it are public on GitHub. Read how a World is drawn, run your own server, send a fix.
  • Free to playEvery player can open one Hold, with every game and every World in it. No account: pick a name and dock.
  • Backed by its playersPatrons on Patreon and sponsors carry the cost of the servers and the time it takes to build what comes next.
Where it goes

WHAT BACKING PAYS FOR

SERVERS
Every Hold runs live on a game server, round the clock, for as long as its crew keeps it. Backing pays for them, and for more of them closer to more players.
NEW GAMES
One Beam is the first. Every game after it opens in the same Hold, and each World is built by hand, from the ground to the sky.
OPEN CODE
The platform, its games and its engine are open for anyone to read, learn from and build on. Time spent on docs, fixes and pull requests comes from backing too.
